Viridian Gallery in Keswick, in the stunning Lake District National Park,displays highly individual professional British art and craft work, reflecting the rich variety of styles, both traditional and contemporary to be found in the region.

Owned and run by watercolourist Diane Gainey, the gallery aims to work closely with its exhibiting artists - some who have established reputations, and others who's work the gallery has helped to promote.

There are permanent displays of Diane's most recent, atmospheric original watercolours, inspired by the changing moods of Cumbria, and the full extensive range of her limited edition prints and greetings cards.

The gallery shows the work of other invited professional artists, and there are exciting displays of ceramics, glassware, contemporary jewellery and design led gift ranges. Strong emphasis is placed on giving each artist an uncluttered exhibition area allowing the public a true view of the work, without distraction.

The gallery hosts regular,small, `Spotlight On' exhibitions, featuring guest artists' work.
