Jane was born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire in 1957, the eldest of six girls and always interested in art.

In 1975 she attended Rotherham College of Art and completed a foundation course before going onto gain a BA Honours in Fashion and Textile Design at Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham.

Watercolour is a medium that she genuinely loves and finds very challenging and exciting, and a permanent display of her work can be seen at The Watermark Studio at Wetheriggs Country Pottery, Penrith.

Sadly, in October Jane lost her brave battle against Cancer.
