After taking 'time out', from her job as a nursery deputy manager, Rachel found time to indulge her interest in jewellery making. As a child, she enjoyed collecting natural, precious and semi precious stones and crystals, an interest which she is able to incorporate into her jewellery designs. This is reflected in her use of unusual glass beads, which combined with silver, ribbon and cord, soon became her trademark. Her jewellery is ever evolving into more intricate designs, as she discovers exciting new components, creating further ranges of stunning, original, hand-made pieces. Her jewellery is bold, bright, three-dimensional and more importantly, individual, with no two pieces being identical.
Living in the Cumbria, Rachel uses the colours seasonal to the lake district landscape, to create this current and beautiful handmade jewellery. She has the ability to effectively combine complimentary and harmonious colours and materials, and is only too happy to undertake commissioned pieces, where she works to the customers individual requirements. |
