Simon studied at Wirral College of Art and Design And Braintree College Essex. After which he was employed in various U.K. workshops And then abroad for several years before returning To his native Merseyside where he established his own Workshop in 1997.

His work is mainly thrown using stoneware clay with Porcelain and raku clay additions. Barium based glazes Give a textured matt finish with a colour pallet of Blues, greens and lilacs.
